Orlando, FL, April 23, 2007 – TopDown Consulting, Inc., a recognized leader in the deployment of high-quality business performance management solutions and Hyperion Preferred Partner, today announced that it is demonstrating gadgets developed for Hyperion System 9 Smart Space at Solutions 2007, Hyperion’s annual user conference in Orlando, Florida April 22 - 25. Smart Space from Hyperion, the global leader in Business Performance Management (BPM) software, is the industry’s first personalized information delivery solution that delivers “always-on” business intelligence (BI) and BPM to every user in the enterprise.
Smart Space gadgets are mini-applications that provide content from Hyperion System 9 software, uniquely integrated into the Windows environment. End users can access a whole library of gadgets, assemble their own personalized environment, and modify the gadgets simply by dragging and dropping with a single mouse click. Because the gadgets reside on the desktop, they provide users with fast, rich, and interactive access to the information they need.
TopDown will debut their “TopDown Viewer gadget,” which allows users to access reports from Hyperion System 9 Financial Reporting and views from Hyperion System 9 Web Analysis, to streamline their daily tasks. TopDown will help users understand how Smart Space gadgets can drastically improve the end user experience and gain immediate benefit from out of the box gadgets.

At Hyperion Solutions 2007 TopDown has also teamed with three different customers to present the following solutions highlighting world-class BPM applications. Univar and TopDown will present “Using Hyperion System 9 to Streamline the Closing Process and Create a Foundation for Integrated Planning and Reporting at Univar” on Tuesday, April 24th. Wachovia and TopDown will present “Lessons Learned from a Successful Migration to Hyperion System 9 Financial Management in a Changing Environment at Wachovia” on Tuesday, April 24th. Bio-Rad and TopDown will present “Creating a Consistent, Worldwide Reporting Environment at Bio-Rad” on Tuesday, April 24th.
TopDown will also present six sessions demonstrating their Hyperion expertise in successful BPM and BI deployments. TopDown's president, Juan Porter, will present "Get More Value out of Hyperion Enterprise Reporting” on Monday, April 23rd where attendees will learn how to expand the uses of Hyperion Enterprise Reporting to increase the value of their Hyperion investment. Additionally, Mr. Porter will also present a session helping customers understand how to “Streamline Migration from Hyperion Enterprise to Hyperion System 9 Financial Management" on Tuesday, April 24th. Attendees will learn how to accelerate their deployment of Hyperion’s latest Business Performance Management applications.
Wayne Van Sluys, known as one of the five top names in Hyperion Intelligence development will co-present “More Top Tips & Tricks from the Masters of Hyperion Intelligence”, a double-length session to share his most innovative and brilliant solutions on Tuesday, April 23rd. Additionally, Mr. Van Sluys will present “Determining the ROI from Your Hyperion Deployment” on Tuesday, April 23rd.
Lastly, John Maloney will co-present with Hyperion “Leveraging Planning Data with Aggregate Storage Reporting Cubes for Near Real-Time Reporting” on Tuesday, April 24th. This session will cover how one or more Aggregate Storage databases can be combined with a new or existing Hyperion Planning implementation to provide near real-time reporting.
At their booth #218, TopDown is offering free migration consultations for Hyperion Enterprise customers. TopDown will also demonstrate features and functionality of Hyperion System 9 and help attendees understand how Business Performance Management and Business Intelligence products work together.
