Juan PorterJuan Porter, President
Juan Porter, president of TopDown Consulting, founded the company in 2000. He has over 20 years combined customer, vendor, and consultant experience with Hyperion, which enables him to bring unmatched insight into the strategic impact of performance management solutions as well as in-depth understanding of the day-to-day realities of managing global applications while supporting users’ needs. Prior to founding TopDown, Juan managed all aspects of Hyperion applications, on a global basis, for ABB, Novell, and SGI. Considered a visionary with an exceptional, proven ability to effectively address complex global business problems through EPM solutions, he is a member of the Oracle Hyperion Partner Advisory Council. Juan has presented annually at Oracle Hyperion User Groups. He has served chair of Hyperion’s national steering committee as well as leading many Hyperion enhancement committees. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Taylor University.

Mike DaviesMike Davies, Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer, Mike is responsible for managing the TopDown Consulting business. Mike has over 25 years of operations, client services, and start-up expertise, and is widely recognized for his expertise on increasing customer satisfaction and improving employee development. Most recently, Mike served as Chief Strategy Officer and Vice President of Operations for Sapias, prior to their acquisition by Mobile Workforce. Previously Mike served as Vice President of Operations for Intalio, Inc., and Vice President of Worldwide Technical Services at DoubleClick, having joined DoubleClick through acquisition of NetGravity, where he served as Vice President of Global Services and Support and was instrumental in positioning the company for its successful IPO and eventual merger with DoubleClick. Earlier in his career, Mike served as Chief Operating Officer of Verb, Inc., where he oversaw their acquisition by Skywire. He also held various senior management positions at Walker Interactive Systems, where he contributed to Walker’s successful IPO and managed their international services expansion into Southeast Asia and Australia. Mike attended the University of Nevada and began his career with Accenture where he implemented information systems for a variety of Fortune 500 clients.

Mark WilsonMark Wilson, Vice President of Services
As Vice President, Services, Mark provides overall vision, leadership, and management for field consulting and field support personnel. A known EPM and BI expert, Mark brings more than 16 years of experience managing client relationships and delivering services and solutions designed to help organizations become more efficient and make more effective business decisions. He is also known for his ability to establish, maintain, and expand executive‐level relationships in strategic accounts, and for building service teams that place emphasis on innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction. Most recently, Mark was the Vice President of Information Management and Delivery at Ask.com. He has also served in senior-level consulting positions for Accenture. He currently serves as a board member of the Silicon Valley Chapter of The Data Warehouse Institute. He holds a B.S. in Managerial Economics with a minor Computer Science from the University of California at Davis.

Josh BergerJosh Berger, Vice President of Sales
As Vice President of Sales, Josh is responsible for accelerating TopDown’s revenue growth. Josh brings over twenty years of sales leadership and practice management in the high tech software and services industry. Prior to TopDown, Josh served as Vice President of Business Development at Quorum Health Resources, and held National sales leadership roles at Oracle and Hyperion. He has also held various sales and services management positions with Sun Microsystems and PeopleSoft. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Duke University and a Master of Arts in Education from University of California at Berkeley.

Josh JankowskiJosh Jankowski, Vice President of Operations
As Vice President, Operations, Josh is responsible for the company’s operations, including human resources, IT, finance, and strategic initiatives with a specific focus on operational efficiency. With over fifteen years services industry experience, Josh is a project-oriented leader with expertise in delivering strategic technology and business initiatives to a broad range of constituents, and a finance-focused understanding of business modeling and analytics, planning and forecasting, and measurable results. Prior to TopDown Consulting, Josh served as CIO at Granicus. Josh began his career in consulting with Accenture, where he specialized in implementing commerce-enabling web-based technologies. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Macalester College.

Shana MahaffeyShana Mahaffey, Director of Marketing
As Director of Marketing, Shana is responsible for developing and executing TopDown’s marketing and communications strategy to support continued business growth and brand awareness. Shana brings over 15 years strategic and tactical marketing experience gained from working in the high tech industry. Prior to TopDown, she was at Embarcadero Technologies where she held senior management positions in program, product, and customer marketing. Shana spent her early career as the University Director of Financial Aid at the New School for Social Research in New York City. Shana is also a published author of fiction novels. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a minor in Creative Writing from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Cheryl Power Cheryl Power, Director of Finance
As Finance Director, Cheryl is responsible for all aspects of TopDown Consulting’s finance and accounting operations. With over 20 years experience in finance and systems implementations, she is known for her focus on process optimization, service quality, and business analytics. Prior to her current role, Cheryl was a renowned EPM solutions consultant with TopDown and previously at SE Technologies. Earlier in her career, she served as a Financial Systems Manager at Levi Strauss and a FP&A Analyst at Fujitsu. Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and Master of Business Administration from Georgetown.
