TopDown Consulting helped Washington Mutual streamline their financial consolidation process and eliminate many days from their month-end closing cycle. The initial projects focused on the standardization of data definitions, hierarchies, rules, and formulas. We helped create a BPM Vision and Roadmap which has driven Washington Mutual's Hyperion implementations for the last several years. In addition to financial consolidation, TopDown deployed multiple Hyperion Planning and Essbase applications to meet the needs of many diverse business divisions. The number of projects increased as more and more internal groups saw the benefits of Hyperion BPM applications and it was not uncommon for TopDown to be managing 5 or more projects simultaneously. Eliminating dozens of "rogue" Excel applications in favor of Hyperion's reporting tools has really helped Washington Mutual's ability to comply with new laws and meet reporting deadlines.

 

TopDown has implemented numerous Hyperion Essbase and Planning applications which allow Toshiba to analyze and forecast their internal costs as well as their complex customer revenue modeling. By utilizing Hyperion BPM and TopDown Consulting, Toshiba's finance team has provided management reports and dashboards that deliver a true financial picture of the company's worldwide operations.

 

TopDown Consulting provided a BPM Vision and Roadmap as well as hands-on product expertise for multiple simultaneous implementations at Symantec. In a 6 month period, the TopDown team designed the overall architecture and implemented HFM, Planning, Essbase, EIS and the Hyperion reporting tools for approximately 300 users worldwide.

 

The TopDown team deployed internationally to drive the global roll-out of a Hyperion consolidation & reporting solution to over 20 countries. TopDown was able to exceed expectations by delivering on an aggressive budget within an accelerated time frame. Engaging with a focused team of resources and tightly managing travel cost throughout the project, we were able to significantly increase Solectron's ROI.
